One month until Christmas folks....have you started shopping yet? Do you have your tree up? I am hoping to start decorating this weekend as I finally got the walls painted and everything looks nice....They've been splotted with poly filler for over a year and I finally decided to bite the bullet and give it a whirl...nope, I have never painted before! I wanted my walls to be nice this year for the holidays and the funds just weren't there for me to hire someone in to do it. We put new siding on the house this fall and have done other major projects around the farm so painting had to either wait or be done by MOI....and I wasn't waiting lol....
This week over at 4 Crafty Chicks, it is my turn to play hostess challenge and I want to see cards or projects using DIE CUTS! I mentioned last week that I came across a package of die cuts from My Mind's Eye called Sleigh Bells Ring and this cute trio of trees were included in the package:
I added a gorgeous sentiment from KaiserCraft Clear Stamps and a button/twine and I was done! Very quick and easy...perfect for this time of year during the hustle/bustle! Sometimes it's nice to NOT over think a card and just whip it up....
Come take a peek at what the other Chicks have created for you this week over at the challenge BLOG - and then link up your card or project for us to leave you some luvin' on your blog! Cheers!

Our theme this week over at The Pink Elephant is....you guessed it - ANYTHING GOES! It's the last Monday of the month and that means it's time for us design team members to let loose and create with whatever sketch/colors/stamps we wish! YIPEEE!
This week, I decided to color up one of Bugaboo's Stella images....she cracks me up this girl...
That seems about right doesn't it?!? hahahha....
Ella and the rest of the girls sure hope you get some time to get crafty with us during our Anything Goes challenge! Be sure to link up your project HERE! Thanks again for stopping in.....I'm off to start making my own Christmas cards ;)
A very happy "Merry Monday" to everyone!
Have you started your Christmas cards yet? Some of you may be totally done and have them signed and addressed, ready to go in the post - but not I. Being a part of this wonderful Design Team (creating a Christmas card a week) has sure been helpful now that the season has come! I don't have near as many that I need to pump out - I have my design figured out, card stock cut, and my assembly line almost ready to start ;) Hoping for this week!
If you are in need of some Christmas card inspiration, why not come on over to the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge blog and see what everyone has in store for you....
This week, Bonnie is looking for RED, GREEN and WHITE on our cards:
My card is made up of strictly DIE CUTS! As I was browsing at my local scrapbook store, I came across a package of Christmas die cuts from My Mind's Eye called Sleigh Bells Ring (I also bought the Washi that goes with it - SCORE!) These were all a part of that package:
Come on over to the Merry Monday blog and see what the rest of the Merry Makers have for you to drool over ....amazing cards this week PEEPS!
Stay tuned for my next installment from The Pink Elephant - there's a message for Santa! ;)

Happy "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday!
The temperatures have gotten a wee bit better this week here in central Alberta...I'll take 'em! Sure beats the near -30C temps we were experiencing last week. I cannot believe that Christmas is just over a month away and I haven't done one lick of shopping yet and cards are not started - ACK! I am trying to make a lot of gifts this year so hopefully that goes as planned ;)
Miss Tamie is our challenge hostess and she wants us to:
MAKE IT SPARKLE - 4 CC #221
A few weeks ago, I took a couple evenings and just sat and colored up images to have in my stash and this is one of the cuties in the folder - she's from Bugaboo Stamps - colored with my Copics:
just wanted to give you a close up of her sparkly hat ;) I also added glitter to her collar, and coat and the snow ;)
I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
Card Mania - Use a Digi

Welcome back to my blog! It's "THEME" week over at The Pink Elephant this week and Ella is looking for ANYTHING BUT A CARD!
I decided to dig out my Treat Tent die and tag dies from Reverse Confetti and get to work....
The treat tent is perfect for adding a small cellophane bag full of treats inside and they make awesome stocking stuffers!
Be sure to come check out what the rest of Ella's girls have made for this challenge - click HERE!
Thanks for stopping in to see what I've been up to the past few days (I have other projects on the go as well, but I cannot share those quite yet as they are Christmas pressies! But let me just say my crochet hooks have been getting some much needed attention!) *wink* Cheers!
Happy "Merry Monday!"
This week, Sue is looking for CHRISTMAS BELLS on our cards! I had to really think about this one - I do not have any images with bells on them (time to rectify that!) so I had to resort to my jingle bells. Hope that is OK, Sue!
I did this one very CAS by embossing my white front panel with my large dots embossing folder, added a bow with some jingle bells in the center and printed out my sentiment on my computer! Ten minutes, DONE! lol...
Thanks for stopping in - be sure to head on over to the Merry Monday blog to see what the rest of the Merry Makers have for you to admire. This DT never ceases to amaze me!
Stay tuned for my next installment from The Pink Elephant! Cheers!

Welcome back to another "Technique Week" over at The Pink Elephant! This week, Ella is looking for CLEAN AND SIMPLE! OOOOHHH...ya!
I am learning to embrace the CAS design....I used to really struggle with having to put stuff everywhere on my cards - now I'm loving the simplicity!
This cutie is from Bugaboo Stamps - I have fallen in love...aren't they ADORABLE?!?
I printed out my image and colored him with Copics, added my sentiment from Paper Smooches and cut him out with my stitched rectangle die. Easy peesy!

Happy Monday :)
It's the last Monday of the month and so over at The Pink Elephant, our theme this week is ANYTHING GOES! I love these as you can do whatever you want! I had this cute Saturated Canary image colored up already from a coloring session with my peep, Tamie, so I decided to go in search of a sketch.
I found this PERFECT one over at The Challenge that my good friend, Lesley Croghan hosts.
You can use both parts of the challenge (sketch and color combo) or just one or the other. I chose to just use the sketch part.
Be sure to come check out what absolutely STUNNING creations the rest of Ella's girls created just for you over at the challenge BLOG. We are so excited to see what you create for our Anything Goes challenge :) Happy crafting!

Hello fellow crafters!
This week over at Sweet Stampin' the challenge is "ANYTHING BUT A CARD."
I made up these Halloween test tube treats a week or more ago and I knew this was the perfect challenge for them :) The test tubes contain Skittles and I stamped the images from my Stampin' Up! set called Batty For You! I cannot wait to send them to my nieces and nephew for "trick or treat" day!
Today it is with a heavy heart that I inform you this is my last post with Sweet Stampin' for a while. I am currently starting the process of heading back into the work force (after being at home with my kids for 17+ years - YIKES!) and I will need to downsize the crafting commitments I have for a while until I get myself into a routine and see how much free time I'm going to have. Sweet Stampin' has been SUCH a wonderful DT to be a part of and I'm looking forward to the day when I can return and play along with them all again - thank you ladies!!! xoxoxo
Be sure to hop on over to the challenge blog and check out what the rest of the super talented Design Team has for you - the creations are mind-blowing! Happy crafting! xoxoxo

Happy 4 Crafty Chicks Thursday everyone...a week has flown by! I finished up the last of the garden this afternoon - all the potatoes are in the root cellar and it's all done for another year. The temperatures have been absolutely wonderful here in central Alberta...hope it keeps up for a while longer!
This week at 4 Crafty Chicks, it is my turn to play challenge hostess and I'm issuing a color challenge for everyone...CALYPSO CORAL, BLACK and WHITE!
I had Halloween in mind, so I went in search of some images and came across a Bugaboo - Stella has always cracked me up!
Be sure to hop on over to the HEN HOUSE (click HERE) and see what the other Chicks have made for you using my colors! You will NOT be disappointed! You have until Tuesday at midnight to link up your creation for us to admire - ready? GO!!!

This week at The Pink Elephant, Ella's theme is "Trick or Treat" and she is looking for some containers and/or treat holders! FUN!!!
Our daughter was in the city all day on Saturday taking her first session of classes for Driver's Education, so I had the opportunity to browse Michael's for hours! I came across this kit of 9 milk cartons and an extra bonus - they were ON SALE! Cha-ching! So, I snooped around a bit more and found the cute clothespins and spiders and thought they would be perfect for extra decorations....I think they are super cute and I can't wait to fill them with candy corn or skittles etc.
The rest of Ella's girls have made OUTSTANDING treat holders - be sure to hop on over to the challenge blog and check them all out! We would really love to see what you come up with for this challenge - we all like the extra ideas and all the wonderful creations are oh so inspiring! Happy crafting!
