Happy "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday everyone!
This week, I get to play hostess-with-the-mostess and I have to admit, I did a doozie theme for myself. But, that is why we call them CHALLENGES, right?!
4 CC #256 Sun, Sea and Sand
I really need to update the stamp cupboard with some beach/sea/sand stamps!! I don't have any :( I found this pre-colored digi in my stash and I created the sand and water using my copics...doesn't he look like he's totally enjoying summer?! I love it...
Please hop on over to the challenge blog HERE and see what our wonderful Guest Designers and Chicks have in store for you - please link up your sand/sea/sun creations for us to come visit you! Cheers!!

Welcome back to my blog everyone....Wow, did we EVER get a wicked thunderstorm last night O.O I cannot believe how much lightning, thunder and WIND there was....I will go check the rain gauge right away but I am pretty sure it was close to an inch of rain. There was some hail too but the garden looks "ok" from the house - will toodle out later once it dries up a bit....
Today marks a new challenge from Top Tip Tuesday!! This time around, we are issuing a BINGO challenge - so...pick a line...any line:
Sponsor and Prize
Prize 3 Digital images
of winner's choice
For my card, I was lucky enough to have these pre-colored digi's in my stash of Kenny K's Dirt Bike Mike....AWESOME image for a boy card, don'tchya think?!? I used the middle/down row for my BINGO line: Embossing (sentiment is embossed with black embossing powder), Sentiment, and Dies/Punches (flags)
I hope you get some time to hop on over to the TTT Challenge Blog HERE and come play BINGO with us!! Cheers!!

Exciting news!! Samantha from As You Like It Challenge asked me to design with their team and I was honored and excited! Thank you Samantha for asking me to take part in this awesome challenge blog :) At "As You Like It," we issue a challenge every 2 weeks and it's always a challenge where you "make us a project featuring ......." so that you can create whatever you like using your own style and products :) WAY COOL!
The challenge for the next 2 weeks is:
Favourite single color (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.
The sponsor of this challenge is
Sweet Pea Stamps
Sweet Pea Stamps
I have a lot of favorite colors - actually MANY...I am addicted to color! However...I have always been drawn to the rich, deep, gorgeous color of CHERRY COBBLER from Stampin' Up! It can be combined with many other color combinations or it's absolutely beautiful just with white - as I have shown you here:
Thanks for stopping back in to my blog - be sure to hop on over to the As You Like It challenge blog HERE and welcome the rest of the newbies and see all the gorgeous creations from the rest of the Design Team! Add your project showcasing YOUR favorite color - cheers!
Happy "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday!
This week, our hostess extraordinaire is none other than miss Tamie and she's wanting to see the following:
4 CC #255 - CLEAN AND SIMPLE
For my card, I already had this image from Doctor Digi House of Stamps colored (when Tamie and I went to visit Leanne) so I cut her out with a stitched rectangle mat, popped her up on some woodgrain paper, added a die cut sun - walaaaaa! Done.
I hope you are able to take a small break from the hustle/bustle of summer days and come get inky with us - Clean and Simple is a quick, stress-free challenge so why not come play?! Click HERE to hop on over to the challenge blog and link up! Cheers!

Welcome to "4 Crafty Chicks" Thursday! I am not sure about you, but here in central Alberta, CANADA, we've been experiencing some pretty HOT temperatures for the past few weeks (without rain) and there are a lot of farmers in desperate need of moisture. This challenge seems appropriate right about now LOL
4 CC #254 - CHRISTMAS IN JULY
Miss Tina is our hostess for this week's theme and I printed out this pre-colored digi and did some funky layering, added some gumdrops and a sentiment and wa-laaaa! Done!
Now before you get all bent out of shape that I wish it was Christmas already, you can relax lol...I just wish we would get a cool-down and some rain...that's all! But on the days where its 33C outside, a little snow would be a welcome sight! LOL...just sayin'
Hop on over to the henhouse HERE and see what the other Chicks have for you - you will NOT be disappointed. Let's see what you've got for Christmas in July! Link up your project so we can come leave you some love as well! Cheers!

The newest challenge over at Top Tip Tuesday is being hosted by Brenda and she's looking for the following themed cards and/or 3D projects:
Sponsor and Prize
2 Cute Ink
Nothing says summer time than flip flops, sundresses and ice cream!! I used this adorable pre-colored digi from Mo Manning (found these awesome gems at my local scrapbook store and let me tell ya, they've come in so handy when I'm behind or in a pinch for a quick card!)
My TIP for this week is to fussy cut a small border around your main image panel for that added POP of color or depth!
Thanks for stopping in again today - sorry I'm late getting the last 2 cards and posts done...life has been super, dooper crazy around here and sitting in my craft room all day today has been HEAVENLY!! Cheers!
Thanks for stopping in! I am a bit late getting some cards/posts done so I spent the entire day in the craft room and got caught up on some DT commitments....feels great! One of them is this week's Merry Monday challenge - Use a Penguin on Your Card - hosted by Wendy:
I have quite a few "pre-colored" digis that I won through challenge blogs and some I have purchased in the past - this is one that I won a year ago....he's super cute and I was already behind, so I tweaked the coloring a bit and made it sort of vintage(y) feeling - no sentiment needed, he's just THAT cute!
Be sure to click on over to the Merry Monday Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the Merry Makers have for you - their cards are absolutely ADORABLE!! Thanks for stopping in!

Happy 4 Crafty Chicks Thursday everyone! It has been such an extremely busy week for my daughter, Kim, and I as our annual Ponoka Stampede was in town and we work the infield food booth for her competitive swim club. It's our only fundraiser for the whole year and it pays extremely well but man oh man - it's a tiring week!! LOL....now it's over and we can start our summer! Finding her a job and getting her a car - fun!
This week miss Leanne is our hostess-with-the-mostess and she's looking for projects with NO STAMPING! With all the dies that are out there right now including sentiment and word dies, this challenge is FUN! Show us what ya got!
For my card, I dug out my Reverse Confetti goodies and got to work:
My "for you" is cut out with fun foam for a bit of dimension and I added some gum drops from Your Next Stamp for some extra jazz...hope you like it!

Happy 4 Crafty Chicks Thursday everyone! Today kicks off our hometown's week-long annual Ponoka Stampede and it's a very hectic, crazy but FUN week for Kim and I along with her competitive swim club. We run the infield food booth for all the contestants, their families and rodeo workers/volunteers so we are hoppin' from 7:30 a.m. til 9:30 p.m. all week long. Kim and I get breakfast shift again this year (her first time) and it's so fun! I will try to post some pics if I get a chance to snap a few ;) This year's entertainment headliners are Josh Turner and Sawyer Brown - can't wait!
This week over at 4 Crafty Chicks, it's my turn to play challenge hostess and with Canada Day and Independence Day right around the corner, I'd like to see how you interpret this theme:
4 CC #252 - PATRIOTIC
For my card, I decided to use the colors of the Canada Flag - and embossed "celebrate" with white embossing powder along the side panel. I love how the stars turned out :)
Be sure to check out what our wonderful Guest Designers Margo and Amy have for you along with the rest of the Chicks :) Thank you so much to you two girls for being our Guest Designers for the month of June - we really appreciate it and your creations were so exciting to see each week! Cheers!

Welcome back to my blog everyone! This week at The Pink Elephant, miss Ella is throwing us a SKETCH challenge...check it out:
I am gearing up for our annual Ponoka Stampede in town (our daughter's swim club runs the infield food booth all week) and so I got busy and put together some quick and easy layouts last week. This image is a pre-colored Kenny K image that I found at our local scrapbook store! Very cool - makes it so much easier to "whip up" a card in no time...the sketch made it even easier!
I made my card a 5.25 x 5.25" card to allow for the image size. I hope you find some time to come play along with us - come see what the rest of Ella's girls have created using this week's sketch. Click HERE. Happy crafting!
